Elly is 3 lbs!!!

Elly has pneumonia and is on antibiotics for this problem. This was the source of the bradies that she was experiencing. After a few days on anitbiotics she is much better and the bradies have gone back to minimal.

She went back and forth from feeding to stoping the feedings. She is off again until after surgery.

The lung x-ray shows that she still has the pneumonia.

Her blood cultures have all come back negative for any infections.

She is still scheduled for surgery and all is ready to go tomorrow morning.

Our little angel is gaining weight beautifully as she now 3 lbs!!!!

Elly had a special visit from the Bishop-- Bishop Kevin Rhoades!! He made a visit to the NICU just for Elly on her 1 month birthday yesterday. May God bless this Holy man for his compassion on his littlest sheep.

Mom and Dad arrived in a hurry at the York hospital. It was decided that Elly could no longer live inside mommy so the doctors prepared for her birth.
On August 4th at 4:17am, Elly Therese Pecher was born and the world rejoiced at her birth.

THE NICU
Since Elly was too little to be taken to the regular nursery, the specialists took her to a special room for preemie babies which is called the NICU. Here Elly was put on a ventilator to help her breathe and was given many medicines and monitored carefully to make sure that her tiny little body would be okay. Elly looks a little different than many babies because of all the tubes and machines around and on her but she is still as beautiful as all the babies in the world.
