Elly is 2 lbs 12 oz.

Elly is doing much better still. Its seems that the feedings were making her uncomfortable.

She has reduced the number of Bardies and seems to be comfortable again. She is still on antibiotics and the blood cultures have not come back so its a good sign that she has no infections. If her blood cultures were positive they would have contacted the NICU by now.

We are very happy that she is back to being her stable little self. It was not good to have her begin to brady so much right before her operation.

We are going to see her today and can't wait to hold her. We should have some new pictures for Monday.

St. Therese- Elly's Patron Saint.

Mom and Dad arrived in a hurry at the York hospital. It was decided that Elly could no longer live inside mommy so the doctors prepared for her birth.
On August 4th at 4:17am, Elly Therese Pecher was born and the world rejoiced at her birth.

THE NICU
Since Elly was too little to be taken to the regular nursery, the specialists took her to a special room for preemie babies which is called the NICU. Here Elly was put on a ventilator to help her breathe and was given many medicines and monitored carefully to make sure that her tiny little body would be okay. Elly looks a little different than many babies because of all the tubes and machines around and on her but she is still as beautiful as all the babies in the world.
