Elly has no more CPAP!!
Yesterday on the Feast of her Patron Saint Therese, our little Therese got rid of all the tubes on her face. No more CPAP. She is now breathing 100% on her own!!!!!!!! Thank you St. Therese.

She is doing so well. She loves to suck her thumb. She smiles a great deal when she is sleeping and she does not like to have a poopy diaper.

Elly is 3 lbs 13 oz. She goes back and forth between 3.12 and 3.13. She burns a lot of calories when she breathes so she has just been going back and forth.

When she is awake she is very aware of her surroundings and is very alert. She has a very gentle personality and loves to take in her surroundings.

I now hold her for hours at a time and stare at her beautiful innocent face.

They have turned down the heat in her incubator in order to see how well she can handle room temp. The next hurdle will be keeping her body warm on her own and no more bradies.

We most likely begin nursing sometime later this week.
