Elly's weight is coming down and that means that her bloating is getting better. She is now 3lbs 4oz. So far no infections, and she is doing well with her breathing. She does not require oxygen and is doing well with the ventilator.

Elly's intestines seem to still not be moving much. She is taking a little longer than normal to get her intestines moving again. She is also having problems pooping and so they are giving her rectal temperature checks in order to stimulate her colon. She also has gas obstruction and that is causing her belly to extend. They have inserted a bigger tube so that they can help her get rid of the gas. They do not want the blockage on the site of her surgery. Not really sure what this all means yet nor do I know if this is common.
