Great news today!! Elly began breathing on her own without the CPAP for 6 hrs at a time 2x a day!!!! She is doing remarkably well and is really being a great little breathing trooper. They plan to take her off the CPAP completely by tomorrow!!!!!! We will see how things go.
Elly has been eating every three hours about 1 oz at a time via the feeding tube.
SHe has lost weight again and is down to 3lbs 12 oz. All that breathing and no extra I.V. fluids are causing her to loose the weight but she will soon go back up again.
She loves to smile a great deal when she is sleeping. I counted numerous spontenous smiles from Elly as she slept.
Thank you so much for your love and support!!!! I would like to ask you to pray for a little preemie and his/her family who is dying today. The baby is not expected to make it much longer. I would not be surprised if the baby was in heaven by tomorrow when I go to the NICU.
