Elly had such a good day yesterday!! I can't believe all the great news.

Lungs- She got off the ventilator yesterday and has been breathing on her own for the last day. She is on C-pack( spelling?) which aids the breathing a little by blowing a little warm air into her lungs but she is on her own!! She has been tolerating it very nicely.

Intestines- She pooped yesterday and that is wonderful news. This is a great sign that her hole may be healing. She is also very hungry which means that her belly is getting ready to work. Unfortunatelly she can't be fed until the dye test is done next week. In the mean time she will continue to be hungry. She sucks on her pacifier a lot.

Blood- her blood count is still doing good and her blood gas is also great.

She was 2weeks old yesterday and weighs 1lbs 15 oz.

Kangaroo Care-I was able to hold her in Kangaroo Care which means she laid on my chest for 2 hours!! Our friends drove us to the Hospital and we were able to visit her for over 2 hours. During this time, I held her on my chest and she slept so soundly. What joy!!
