Today is the feast of St. Teresa of Avila. The reformer of the Discalced Carmelites and my spiritual mother. Elly was named after two great Carmelite Holy Women: Elizabeth of the Trinity and Therese of Liseux. This is a happy spiritual day for us Carmelites!

I chose this quote of Teresa of Avila because little miss Elly has come down with a cold. While it is not serious, it did make my heart sorrowful to see her so uncomfortable. The words of my spitirual Mother give me strength and comfort. Patience is the only way for the mother of a preemie. In time and Patience I will have my Elly healthy and at home with me.

Let nothing disturb thee: Not the present or the past 10 weeks of suffering and pain.
Let nothing affright thee:: Not even this little cold.
All things are passing: This journey is almost at an end and God has been with us from the beginning.
He who has God has everything. God Alone suffices!!! What more can be said?

Elly has been checked for RSV and everything seems normal just looks like a cold.
She is still 4lbs 2 oz. Is being fed through a gtube.
She is on a little bit of oxygen because of her stuffy nose.

Her animea is getting better and she is still not on jaundice meds.
